The farm Boskloof Swemgat is situated about 10 km from Clanwilliam in the Boskloof Valley, a magnificent unspoiled terrain bordering the Cederberg Wilderness area. The Jan Dissels River flows through the valley, and the farm was named for a favourite river pool or "swemgat".
The accommodation is self-catering with warm farm-style hospitality. Cottages are set along the river banks with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Four thatch-roofed cottages and 3 corrugated iron-roofed cottages offer fully equipped kitchens and full bathrooms (bed linen and bath towels provided). All cottages have indoor fireplaces and outside braai facilities. Our Kiosk stocks wood, homemade and basic needs products for your convenience.
Guests can enjoy swimming and fishing in the clear, unpolluted river, bring their mountain bikes, or take on the hiking trails by foot. Children enjoy the farm animals and playing in the river with tubes. In Spring time, wildflowers carpet the landscape.
