Bushwhacked is an hour away from The Kruger National Park and Swaziland. A peaceful escape to the Makonjwa mountains but only minutes away from the historic Gold Rush Town of Barberton.

Accommodation is in one of four double/twin rooms in the fully equipped self-catering main guesthouse or in one of our three self-contained chalets. We can sleep up to 23 guests. All rooms have comfortable beds, top-quality linen and spectacular views. Free, uncapped Wifi throughout. 

Each unit has been individually built by us in a unique style using a lot of natural stone and hand-crafted wooden furniture which gives Bushwhacked its relaxed, rustic atmosphere so commented on by guests. Feel free to check out our reviews on any site that features us.

You can walk, hike or bike directly from Bushwhacked up as far as Swaziland with no fences to stop you, just spectacular mountain and valley views with excellent birding. Exploring the forestry roads on foot or by mountain bike is well worth it.

The World Heritage site 'The GeoTrail' scenic drive starts only 10 minutes away, with unique geological features along with montane plant and bird life.

If you need a little action the city of Nelspruit (Cinemas, Casino, Malls, Ice Rink and Mbombela Sports Stadium) is only a 40-minute drive away as is the Hot Springs of Badplaas. (Waterpark, go-karting, horse riding, golf, putt-putt, quad biking in the game reserve).

The quaint village of Kaapschehoop with its wild horses, stone circles, craft shops and cafes is just around the corner. Also great for hiking, biking and horse riding.

We also have a small campsite. We try to be as eco-friendly as possible, harvesting rainwater, recycling waste and with all the units supplied with hot water by solar geysers. We are best found on Google Maps.
