Deo Resta Guest Lodge is situated on a peaceful smallholding in the historic community of Moolman, a 10-minute drive from Piet Retief in Mpumalanga. Moolman is located 1 km from the main route to the North- and South Coast vacation destinations in KwaZulu Natal. 

The lodge, previously the Moolman Primary School, has been transformed into a unique guesthouse. The old school building has been converted into 3 lovely, spacious rooms that will provide comfortable, quality accommodation for business travellers or families looking for a convenient overnight stop on their way to their holiday- or business destination. 

The spacious units feature comfortable beds, bathrooms with showers, the necessary overnight kitchen facilities, complimentary Wi-Fi and a TV with DSTV, a private patio as well as secured parking. Braai facilities are available.

The large gardens and tranquil surroundings contribute to the relaxed atmosphere that guests experience when visiting Deo Resta Guest Lodge. The building is nearly 120 years old and care has been taken during maintenance to keep as much of the old building as possible. 

Guests love to visit the Piet Retief area. So much of our South African history can be found in the areas surrounding Piet Retief. Swaziland is just a 30-minute drive from us and can be explored in an exciting 0ne-day-trip. Fishing, 4x4ing, game drives and so much more are just some of the attractions guests can enjoy while staying here. 

My husband and I have been hosting South African and International guests and groups for many years in the comfort of our home. Having a Guest Lodge is a dream come true! We love to meet new people and to shower our guests with pure South African hospitality!
