Die Dorpshuis is centrally situated in Calitzdorp, a quaint little town on Route 62, nestled in the heart of the Klein Karoo of the Western Cape. Die Dorpshuis was built in the late 1800s as a prestige residence. Since then, it was extended and became the residence and surgery for the town’s doctors and eventually the home to a local schoolmaster.

Accommodation is available in 3 double en-suite bedrooms, beautifully decorated, and equipped with satellite TV and Air-Con and outdoor kitchen. These bedrooms are located on 19 Queen Street (200m away from the Dorpshuis)
We also have a self-catering unit with 2 en-suite bedrooms sleeping a maximum and a fully equipped kitchen. The garden is complemented by an azure pool and braai area.

Known as the port wine capital of South Africa, Calitzdorp lies on the famous R62, 49 km from Oudtshoorn to the east and 50 km from Ladismith to the west. It is surrounded by the Swartberg and Gamka Mountains and set in the Gamka Valley Winelands.
