The name “Keerweder” is derived from an old Afrikaans-Dutch word for “return” and refers to a place of hospitality to which one wants to return over and over again: a true place of many happy returns, of homecoming and healing. Our home away from home” is situated in a quiet location in the town of Riebeek West on the slope of Kasteelberg with stunning views of the Riebeek Valley as well as the Kasteelberg and with easy access to all the amenities of the valley. Once you arrive here everything slows down and brings you in touch with the gentle flow of rural life.
Our five luxury double rooms are set in a lush garden filled with the song of a variety of birds in the huge trees around the house. All rooms are equipped with 100% cotton linen and towels and a coffee/tea station with homemade rusks. Each room has a separate private entrance and direct access to the garden and its own private patio. Free Wi-Fi is available in all areas. Ample secure parking is available on the premises. There are electric blankets and overhead fans to enable a comfortable stay.

Riebeek West itself is an easy 75 km drive northeast of Cape Town and 5 km north of its twin town Riebeek Kasteel in the Swartland area of the Western Cape in South Africa. Riebeek West was the birthplace of two successive South African Prime Ministers. General Jan Christiaan Smuts was born on the farmBovenplaats, two km north of Riebeek West. Daniel François Malan was born on the farm Allesverloren, which borders the town on the southern side.
