This is a unique space. It is the private home of a South African artist and educator who spends time here and in the City of Cape Town. Guests will share the home with two domestic cats. This will be an authentic experience of living on the peninsular of Africa. The swimming beach of Fish Hoek, known for its (relatively) warm seas, has shark nets and lifeguards and is a 10-minute walk from the front door. There are many steps so it is not for those who can't do steps.

The Peninsular Ramblers hiking club has many hikes into the surrounding mountains.

Other things to note: The house has two resident cats, Prince Frederik and Cupid, who love humans, but humans who are allergic to cats would not do well here.

• There is no perimeter wall around the entire property but the back garden is fenced off and has a sweet little barbecue area around the pool.
• Smoking is allowed outside, but not inside the house.
• Private small parties of up to 8 people are welcome.
• Due consideration must be taken of the municipal law of 'no noise after 10 pm' as it is a residential area.

• We do not accept one-night stays and swaps over long weekends and public holidays weekends. 
• Swops for the months of December/January/February will be limited as we are usually fully booked well in advance.
• No swops during school holidays and long weekends.
