Weskus Grotjie is built into a rock formation located on the farm Steenbokfontein, just 8 km outside of the peaceful town of Lambert's Bay. It is ideal for a couple looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway. 

This open-plan unit comprises a sleeping area, a kitchenette, and a small dining table as well as an en-suite bathroom. The sleeping area is furnished with a queen-size bed that was built from the wood of the Sybille gunboat that washed out on the shore in 1901. 

The bathroom offers lovely views of the farm and the ocean in the distance. The bathroom has a large bathtub and a shower built into the rock formation. All linen, bath towels and Rooibos soap are provided. 

The kitchenette has a 2-plate stove and mini-oven, a fridge, kettle, crockery, and cutlery. Leading from the unit is a verandah with an outdoor table with benches and a braai drum on wheels. Guests will need to bring with them enough wood and groceries supplies as the nearest town is 8 km away. 

Please note that this is a breakaway from city life with a unique view of the ocean in front of you. Please note, there is no TV in this unit, guests are to enjoy the sound of waves, birds, tame sheep, and the crisp fresh air. 

The farm has a unique history of bushman caves. Walking around the farm guests will find beautiful animals and plants. Please use the water and electricity with respect to nature and the farm. Weskus Grotjie also asks that the guest do not litter on the farm or in nature and please do not use the furniture or bedding without respect.

Please note:  We can unfortunately not accept swop bookings over long weekends and peak season (school holidays).  Weekend bookings will be limited and can only be approved closer to the date of stay.
